Can you get a fever from being in the sun?

I was working outside in the garden for a few hours today, and it was really hot. Now I'm feeling quite tired and my head feels a bit feverish. Can too much sun exposure cause a fever?

I was playing cricket in the hot sun yesterday and now I am shivering with a 100-degree temperature. Is this normal sun heat or should I take some medicine? I am a bit scared.

Please do not ignore this. I once stayed out in the sun, got a high fever, ignored it as 'just sun heat', and ended up in the hospital with severe heat exhaustion and dehydration. Get checked by a doctor immediately if your fever is high.

Haan na, the afternoon sun these days is just too much, easily gives you a headache and fever. My mom always makes me drink raw mango panna to reduce the body heat. Try to stay indoors during peak hours, ho na.

Yes, prolonged exposure to extreme sun can cause heat fever or heatstroke. Drink plenty of water and seek medical help if it doesn't go down.

Look, getting a fever from the sun is a clear warning that your body is overheating, which can be dangerous. Stop roaming outside in the afternoon, drink ORS water immediately, and if you feel dizzy along with the fever, go straight to the clinic.

I completely understand how scary it feels to suddenly burn up after a day out. I once had a panic attack when my temperature shot up after a summer trip. It is really stressful, but just lie down in a cool room and sip water, you will be okay.

A fever from sun exposure can escalate into a heatstroke, which is a medical emergency. Please monitor the person's mental alertness and breathing. It is always safest to consult a doctor immediately to prevent any complications.

Yes, beta, 'loo' or strong hot wind in summer can easily cause a high fever. Drink fresh onion juice on your feet or keep wet cloth on your forehead. But if you feel very sick, please go to the hospital and get checked.

Yes, sunstroke can cause a sudden rise in body temperature. Keep your diet extremely light with watery vegetables like bottle gourd and cucumber, and drink plenty of barley water. If the fever does not subside with cooling foods, please consult a physician.

Yes, heavy exertion under the sun can lead to heat exhaustion, which raises your core body temperature. It is super important to hydrate with electrolytes, not just plain water, and rest in a cool place. Avoid workouts until your temperature settles down.

My kids often come home with a warm forehead after playing outside in May. I make them lie down under a fan, wipe their body with a wet cloth, and give them coconut water. If the temperature doesn't drop in an hour, I call our pediatrician.

Oh man, traveling in this Indian summer heat is no joke, it literally cooks you from inside. Whenever I feel feverish after a hot day, I immediately go for sweet lassi or cold buttermilk to cool down my stomach. But if the fever is really high, skip the food cravings and see a doctor.
