Can you get a fever from being hungover?
Last night was quite a party, and I definitely overdid it. Woke up with a terrible headache and now I'm feeling a bit warm too. Does a hangover usually come with a slight fever?

I remember waking up with a racing heart and feeling boiling hot after heavy drinking sessions, it used to trigger so much anxiety and guilt in me. It is a horrible feeling to feel physically sick like that. Just be kind to yourself, drink water, and let your body recover slowly.
Dehydration from heavy drinking can make you feel super hot, but a genuine fever usually means something else is going on. You might have caught a bug while out partying, or your body is reacting to severe alcohol withdrawal. Get some electrolytes and rest.
In our younger days, we also faced these rough mornings. The body takes a lot of time to clean out the alcohol as we age, which can cause a temporary rise in body temperature. Rest well, drink plenty of fluids, and you will be fine by tomorrow.
Sip some warm ginger and honey water to soothe your stomach and cool down your system. However, if your body temperature is actually high and you are vomiting continuously, do not treat it as a simple hangover. Please visit a doctor.
I have had some legendary hangovers and yes, you can feel feverish due to severe dehydration and Congener sensitivity. The best trick is to drink ORS or coconut water, take a cool shower, and avoid any heavy foods. If the fever stays past 24 hours, go see a doctor.
