Can you feel pain during twilight anesthesia?

I have a small procedure coming up next week and the doctor said they'll use twilight anesthesia. I'm a bit nervous about feeling pain during the procedure. Can one really experience pain even with that kind of sedation?

Honestly, I was searching about this for hours before my dental surgery because I was terrified of waking up in pain. You might feel some light pressure or tugging, but real pain is very rare. Just talk to your anesthesiologist beforehand and tell them you are nervous, they will take extra care.

I have gone through two minor procedures under twilight sedation. You are technically awake and can follow simple instructions, but they also use local numbing at the site, so pain is not felt. It is a very safe and standard practice in hospitals these days.

Arre don't stress too much, trust me! You will be so relaxed and sleepy that you won't even realize what is happening. By the time you think it has started, the procedure will already be over and you'll be resting.

Look, I know the idea of being semi-conscious sounds scary, but the doctors know exactly how to manage your comfort. You won't feel pain, and most people don't even remember the procedure afterwards. Just close your eyes and let the professionals do their job, you are in safe hands.

Keep a calm mind and stay positive, dear. Our bodies have amazing ways of handling these things, and the medical science today is very advanced. Just take deep breaths, trust your doctors, and take good care of yourself.

Had an endoscopy under twilight anesthesia last year. My tip is to stay completely empty stomach as advised by the doc, and avoid drinking water right before. You feel a bit drowsy and heavy, but absolutely zero pain during the whole thing.
