Can you feel kidney stones move?

Was diagnosed with a small kidney stone a few weeks ago, and the doctor said it might pass on its own. I'm constantly aware of some discomfort and a strange sensation. Is it actually possible to feel a kidney stone moving inside your body, or is it more about the pain it causes?

My urologist explained that you don't actually feel the stone moving itself, but rather the intense spasms of the ureter trying to push it out. This causes that classic, excruciating pain that comes in waves from your back to your groin. He said if you experience this along with blood in urine, you must go to the emergency room immediately.

If you feel a pain that makes you want to crawl on the floor and question all your life choices, congratulations, that might be a kidney stone moving! It is famous for being incredibly sharp, but the good news is once it passes, you feel instant relief. Just keep drinking water like it's your full-time job!

At my age, my body loves to create stones instead of memories! When they start moving down the narrow tube, you can definitely feel a sharp, stabbing pain that travels from your side down to your bladder. Keep your doctor on speed dial and make sure you have some prescribed pain relief handy.

My roommate had a kidney stone last semester, and she literally could not sit still because the pain kept moving from her back to her stomach. She said it felt like something was slowly scraping inside her. If you are feeling that kind of intense, moving pain, please go to the clinic right away.

Haan yaar, jab stone move hota hai toh bohot hi bura dard hota hai, na? It travels from the back to the lower stomach area and makes you feel super restless. Don't try to bear it at home, just go to a hospital and get a proper painkiller injection and advice from a specialist.

I absolutely panicked the first time I felt a sharp, shooting pain travel down my side, thinking my kidney was rupturing. But my doctor reassured me that it was just a tiny 3mm stone moving its way out, which is completely normal and manageable. Just get an ultrasound to know the size and stay calm.
