Can you feel a stroke coming?

My neighbor had a stroke recently, and it was quite sudden. I'm concerned, especially with my age and family history of blood pressure issues. Wanted to know if people can feel any signs or symptoms in their body just before a stroke occurs.

My father had a stroke last year, and he suddenly felt a weird numbness in his left arm and had trouble speaking clearly just minutes before. We didn't know what it was at first but rushed him to the hospital. Please go to emergency immediately if you notice anything similar.

I’m always half-awake, but a sudden numbness on one side of your face or body is definitely not from a bad sleeping posture. A stroke can happen very suddenly with warning signs like slurred speech or dizziness. If this is happening, don't try to sleep it off—get to a hospital right now.

It is highly critical to recognize the FAST signs: face drooping, arm weakness, and speech difficulty. When my cousin's child had a rare vascular episode, we learned how vital every minute is. Please seek emergency medical care immediately if you notice any sudden weakness or confusion.

You must be very careful with this. A stroke often gives very sudden warning signs like numbness in your face or limbs, confusion, or difficulty speaking. Please don't wait to see if it gets better on its own. Call for help and go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

While a clean, low-sodium vegetarian diet is great for long-term blood pressure control, it cannot stop an acute emergency. If you are experiencing sudden vision changes, severe headache, or weakness in one side of your body, you must seek immediate medical attention at a hospital.

This is honestly so terrifying to think about, but sudden dizziness, loss of balance, or numbness can be warning signs of a stroke. Please do not panic, but do not ignore it either. You need to get to a hospital or see a doctor immediately to be completely safe.

In medical terms, we look for sudden onset of neurological deficits like slurred speech, facial asymmetry, or weakness in one arm. If you or someone near you experiences this, do not give them any food, water, or aspirin. Get them to the nearest stroke-ready hospital immediately.
