Can you faint from pain?

Recently had a very bad fall and hit my knee hard. The pain was so intense that for a few seconds, I felt completely lightheaded and almost blacked out. My mother says it's normal to faint from extreme pain, but I wanted to check.

Yes, extreme physical pain can cause a sudden drop in heart rate and blood pressure, leading to fainting. If this has happened, it's a clear sign that the underlying cause of the pain is serious. Please consult a doctor immediately to diagnose the root issue.

Haan na, severe pain can actually shock the nervous system and make you faint. It is called a vasovagal response. If the pain is that intense, please don't sit at home, doctor ko dikhana hi padega.

Fainting from pain is very possible, as extreme stress affects your blood circulation. For someone managing chronic health issues, sudden shock to the system like this can also disrupt your sugar levels. Please see a medical professional immediately to address this severe pain.

Absolutely, severe pain can trigger a blackout. If you are experiencing pain intense enough to make you faint, you should not ignore it or try to manage it yourself. Head to a clinic or hospital right away to get checked.
