Can you drink on thyroid medication?

I started taking medication for my thyroid a few months ago, and I feel much better now. This weekend, my friends are having a celebration, and I might want to have a small drink. Will having a little alcohol interfere with my thyroid medication or its effectiveness?

At Max Hospital, my endocrinologist advised me to keep a gap of at least several hours between taking thyroid meds and consuming alcohol, as alcohol can affect drug absorption. Please ask your doctor clearly about your dosage.

When you are taking daily morning medications, it is best to keep your body clean. Alcohol can disturb your metabolism and thyroid levels. Focus on a simple, healthy lifestyle and avoid drinking.

Don't trust random forum comments saying it's perfectly fine to drink. Alcohol can interfere with how your thyroid gland functions. Verify with your doctor and get regular thyroid profile tests done.

Ji, thyroid ki goli toh khali pet subah lete hain. Alcohol peene se sharir par bura asar pad sakta hai aur dawai thik se kaam nahi karegi. Ek baar doctor babu se zaroor pooch lijiye.

Thyroid tests cost around 400-600 rupees every few months, and if you drink regularly, your levels might fluctuate, leading to changes in dose and more expensive doctor visits. Better to limit alcohol to keep your health and wallet happy.
