This must be a very stressful time for you and your family. While stage 4 is serious, proper medical management can help slow it down. Sending you a lot of strength and prayers.

Stage 4 means severe kidney damage, so yes, it can be life-threatening if ignored. However, you aren't at end-stage yet. Get a top nephrologist, plan for dialysis or transplant options early, and strictly manage your blood pressure.

With stage 4, the diet restrictions are super tough—you have to watch your potassium, sodium, and protein closely. It is really hard to give up your favorite spicy foods, but keeping a strict diet is literally what keeps your kidneys going right now.

At stage 4, you have to be extremely careful with your food. Keep a close watch on high-potassium vegetarian foods like potatoes and bananas, and consult a kidney-specialist dietitian. What you eat plays a massive role in preserving whatever kidney function is left.

As a mother, I know how heartbreaking it is to manage chronic kidney issues. You have to be incredibly disciplined with their medicine timings and water intake. Hang in there, stay strong, and strictly follow whatever the pediatric nephrologist advises.

It sounds really scary, but please don't lose hope. My grandfather lived with stage 4 kidney issues for several years with the right care and medication. Just support them emotionally and keep their spirit high, it makes a big difference.

Stage 4 requires constant monitoring, which means regular blood tests and doctor visits that can really drain your savings. I suggest looking into government health schemes or getting a good insurance plan sorted out right now to handle future treatment costs.
