Can you die from a stroke in your sleep?

My father recently suffered a stroke, and it happened during the day. However, I've heard stories, and it makes me wonder if it's possible to have a stroke while you're sleeping and if that can be fatal.

Yes, you absolutely can. It is called a wake-up stroke because the patient goes to bed fine and wakes up with stroke symptoms, or sadly, does not wake up at all. If you have risk factors like uncontrolled hypertension, you must get them treated by a specialist immediately to prevent this.

Yes, it is possible and honestly so terrifying to think about. Wake-up strokes happen when a clot or bleed occurs while sleeping. To protect our loved ones, especially elders, we should make sure their BP is monitored and they take their prescribed medications before going to bed.

Yes, strokes during sleep can be fatal because the symptoms are not noticed immediately, which delays critical treatment. For safety, if you or a family member wakes up with sudden weakness on one side, slurred speech, or confusion, please go straight to a hospital emergency room.

Yes, it can happen, my grandfather had a mild stroke while sleeping. Luckily my grandmother noticed him breathing weirdly and we rushed him to the ER in time. If you have older people at home, keeping a close eye on their sleep health is really important.

Yes, it can be fatal. My uncle actually suffered a stroke in his sleep and woke up unable to move his left side. Because we rushed him to the hospital immediately, the doctors were able to save him and he is recovering now. Don't ignore high BP, get it managed.
