Can you develop underactive thyroid?

Lately, I've been feeling really tired all the time, gaining weight, and my hair is falling out more than usual. A friend told me these could be signs of an underactive thyroid, and I'm wondering if it's something that can just develop without any obvious reason.

Yeah definitely, you can get it. My college roommate was feeling super tired all the time and gaining weight suddenly, and turned out her thyroid was underactive. She got some tablets from the doctor and she is totally fine now, so dont sweat it too much.

Oh absolutely, your thyroid can decide to go on a lazy strike whenever it wants! If you are suddenly feeling like a sleepy sloth and blaming the weather, it might just be an underactive thyroid. Just get tested and show the report to a doc, it's a very simple fix.

I was actually researching this yesterday because my mom was mentioning she feels tired constantly. Turns out underactive thyroid is incredibly common, especially in women as they get older. It's basically when the gland doesn't produce enough hormones, but a doctor can easily prescribe medication for it.

Yes, it can develop. Honestly, I've been feeling so cold and tired lately and I'm really anxious that it might be my thyroid. Did anyone else here experience sudden extreme fatigue and dry skin before they got diagnosed? I'm thinking of booking a test tomorrow.

Yes, you can! Many people develop an underactive thyroid, but the good news is that it is very easy to manage with a small daily pill. Just see a doctor, get tested, and you'll be back to your energetic self in no time! 🌟

Actually yes, you can get thyroid issues anytime, yaar. I was feeling so sluggish and had terrible hair fall last year, and when I got tested, my TSH was quite high. It's super common nowadays, just get a simple blood test done.

Yes, you can develop it. Since I manage my diabetes, I have to be very careful with my overall endocrine health because these things can be linked. Keep an eye on your weight and energy levels, and get your thyroid profile checked alongside regular blood sugar tests.
