Can you develop pcos?

Lately, my periods have become really irregular, and I've also gained some weight around my mid-section, which is unusual for me. My friend mentioned these could be signs of PCOS, so I'm wondering if it's something you can just develop without any prior history.

My sister suddenly developed PCOS in her early 20s, and her doctor told her that sudden junk food cravings were actually linked to insulin resistance. She had to cut down on late-night momos and sweets, which was so hard for her! Definitely worth getting checked if your cravings are going wild.

Yes, absolutely! It can show up during your teenage years or even later in your 20s. But don't worry at all, with a good diet, some fun exercise, and a doctor's guidance, you can manage it beautifully! Stay positive.

I was diagnosed with PCOS last year after my periods became highly irregular. By making small changes in my sleep cycle, doing regular strength training, and following my doctor's advice, my cycles are finally normal now. It takes time, but you can definitely manage it.

Yes, PCOS can develop due to a combination of genetic and environmental factors, often triggered by stress or lifestyle shifts. Since its symptoms vary widely, getting a proper diagnosis via blood tests and an ultrasound from a gynaecologist is the best way forward.

Haan na, with our busy schedules and junk food, PCOS has become so common these days. Many of my college friends got diagnosed with it recently. It is better to consult a doctor early and make some lifestyle changes rather than worrying.

I was actually researching this because my girlfriend was worried about her late periods. From what I read, PCOS is a hormonal disorder that can develop anytime after puberty, often triggered by stress or insulin issues. It's surprisingly common.
