Can you contract psoriasis?

One of my friends has psoriasis, and I sometimes see redness on their skin. I wanted to ask if psoriasis is something that can be caught. Is it a contagious skin condition that someone can contract from another person?

No, you cannot contract psoriasis from anyone. I have lived with it for ten years and the worst part was people looking at my skin like it's contagious. It's an autoimmune condition, not an infection, so please don't feel scared or make others feel isolated.

Psoriasis is not contagious; it is simply an imbalance within our immune system often triggered by stress. Practicing gentle pranayama and keeping the mind calm has helped many manage their flare-ups beautifully. Breathe easy.

You definitely can't catch it from someone else! It's an internal thing. Though some people say eating too much spicy food or dairy can trigger flare-ups if you already have it. Honestly, I could never give up my biryani, but moderation is key!

Nahi bhaiya, psoriasis chuachoot ki bimari nahi hai. Kisi se haath milane se ya saath baithne se yeh nahi hoti. Yeh toh sharir ke andar ki garmi aur skin ki wajah se hoti hai. Pareshan mat hoiye.

Let me reassure you, psoriasis is completely non-contagious. You can safely shake hands or hug anyone who has it. It is just their skin cells growing too fast due to genetics. No need to worry at all.
