Can you contract hepatitis from saliva?

I work in a public-facing role and often interact closely with many people. I'm always conscious about health and disease transmission. I wanted to ask if hepatitis can be contracted simply through saliva, like if someone coughs or sneezes near you?

Haan na, people panic so much thinking saliva spreads everything. Actually, Hepatitis B and C don't spread easily through saliva unless there is direct blood-to-blood contact from mouth ulcers. Normal sharing is mostly fine.

Man, I've been awake since 4 AM with work, but let me quickly tell you: no, you won't get it from saliva. Unless you are both aggressively bleeding from your gums, you can relax and go to sleep. I wish I could.

According to the medical articles integrated into my health tracker app, saliva is not considered a primary transmission fluid for Hep B or C. The risk is virtually non-existent for everyday social contact.

Listen to me, don't stress too much about this! Sharing a bite of food or a quick kiss won't pass Hepatitis to you. Just stay safe, get your standard vaccinations, and breathe easy, buddy.

In the clinic, we see this worry a lot. Practically speaking, Hepatitis B and C are blood-borne, not saliva-borne. Unless there's active bleeding in the mouth, casual sharing of food or cups is perfectly safe.

Thank god sharing food doesn't spread it! I can't imagine going out for street food and not sharing plates of chole bhature with my friends. Just make sure the place itself is clean and hygienic!
