Can you contract hepatitis b through saliva?

My child goes to daycare, and sometimes kids put things in their mouths or share toys. I heard that Hepatitis B can be quite serious. I wanted to know if it's possible to contract Hepatitis B through saliva, in cases like sharing or casual contact among children.

Actually yaar, normal sharing of food or cups doesn't spread it. The concentration in saliva is just too low. But if you have open wounds in your mouth, that's a different story. Just get vaccinated and chill!

Generally speaking, Hep B is not easily transmitted through saliva alone. Unless there is blood-to-blood contact, like if both people have severe bleeding gums or mouth cuts, the risk is negligible. No need to panic over casual contact.

In our family, we always believe in keeping utensils separate when someone is sick, but my family doctor assured us that Hepatitis B doesn't spread through normal saliva. It requires direct blood or fluid contact. So please stay calm.

Put your mind at ease, child. It does not spread through general saliva. Maintain good hand hygiene, eat freshly cooked home meals, and if you ever feel weak, drink warm water with a little ginger, but do get your doctor's advice first.

Keep your body's defense high with clean eating and regular exercise, but medically, Hep B isn't really a saliva-borne threat. It's mostly blood-to-blood. Focus on your fitness and get the standard vaccine if you haven't yet.

Even if the risk is extremely low, if you have had an exposure incident, please do not ignore it. It is always safest to consult a physician immediately and get a blood panel done. Prevention is better than cure.

I get why you are asking, it's scary when you aren't sure. But really, you won't get it from dry kissing or sharing a bite of food. Just be mindful of basic hygiene and you will be completely fine!

I can only speak from what happened in my home. My uncle had Hepatitis B for years, and we all lived together, shared meals, and nobody else ever got it. We just made sure we were all vaccinated.

Omg, i had this exact doubt last week! Turns out u can't get it from just spitting or regular kissing unless there's blood involved. So sharing a sip of water is mostly fine, don't worry.

Don't rely on random forum comments for something as serious as Hepatitis B. While theoretical transmission via saliva with blood is possible, actual cases are rare. Go to a licensed doctor to get accurate facts and get vaccinated.
