Can you become diabetic from eating too much fruit?

My dad has diabetes, so I'm always careful about what I eat. Recently, I've started eating a lot more fruit for a healthy diet, but then someone told me that too much fruit can actually cause diabetes. Is this true or just a myth?

Don't worry too much, eating natural fruits rarely causes diabetes on its own. Fruits have fiber which slows down sugar absorption. Just don't overdo high-sugar fruits like mangoes or grapes, and you'll be perfectly fine.

No, whole fruits won't cause diabetes, but fruit juices with added sugar can raise your risks.

Eating fresh fruits in moderation is very good for health and digestion. However, if you already have high sugar symptoms, even fruit sugar can spike your levels. Please get a blood test done to be safe.

My doctor clarified that fructose in whole fruits is safely processed due to fiber content. However, consuming excess fruit juices removes the fiber, causing rapid insulin spikes. He advised sticking to whole fruits instead of juices.

Agree with others, whole fruits are safe. Just limit high glycemic ones like chiku and mango if you are prediabetic.
