Can you be drafted if you have eczema?

I have had eczema since childhood, and sometimes it can get quite severe. I'm asking this because I've heard about potential military drafts. Would someone with eczema be eligible, or can you be drafted if you have eczema?

Yaar, I can barely draft an email at 3 AM because my skin is itching so bad, let alone get drafted into any army. Honestly, if you have severe eczema, the sweat and heavy uniforms in the heat will make life a living hell. Pretty sure they wouldn't want us scratching our way through basic training anyway.

Actually yaar, military medical rules are super strict about skin conditions. Eczema can flare up badly during outdoor training in different climates. So they mostly disqualify you or put you on hold if it is quite severe. Best to check their official medical guidelines once.

Don't stress too much about this. Medical boards in the defense forces are very thorough, and they evaluate skin conditions to make sure you won't suffer in extreme weather conditions. If your eczema is mild and manageable, they might consider it, but your health and comfort always come first.

Haan na, skin problems are so irritating during summers. If you have eczema, military life can be very difficult because of the dust and rough uniforms. They usually look at how bad the condition is during the medical checkup before taking any final call.

Humare yahan bhi ek ladke ko skin ki badi bimari thi, use bharti me mana kar diya tha. Fauj me mehnat bohot hoti hai aur dhoop-dhool me bimari badh sakti hai. Aap pehle acche doctor se salah le lo aur apna khayal rakho.

Bro, my cousin has moderate eczema and he wanted to join the army, but they told him it's a no-go. The boots, the sweat, and sleeping in tents makes it super hard to manage. It's better to focus on other career options if your skin is sensitive.

Just like how I have to get regular blood tests for my thyroid to keep everything in check, skin issues also need proper documentation. If you are applying, you'll need to show your dermatologist's reports and treatment history. The medical board will decide based on whether it is chronic or just a one-off flare-up.
