Can you be born with hepatitis b?

I am pregnant, and during one of my check-ups, the doctor talked about certain infections. I'm wondering about Hepatitis B. Is it possible for a baby to be born with Hepatitis B if the mother has it?

Please don't delay getting this checked. I once ignored a persistent liver issue and really regretted it when it got worse. If a mother has Hepatitis B, it can easily pass to the baby during birth, so a doctor must give the vaccine and immunoglobulins right at birth.

For liver health, we often use simple things like sugarcane juice and light food, but Hepatitis B in a newborn is very serious. Home tips won't work for this infection. Please see a pediatrician immediately to start the proper medical shots.

My body feels like it has a new issue every morning, but Hep B from birth is something you definitely can't ignore. It is transmitted from mother to child during delivery. Just make sure the delivery happens in a good hospital where they administer the birth dose vaccine immediately.

In my family, a relative was Hep B positive during her pregnancy. The doctors were very alert and gave the baby the vaccination shots within 12 hours of birth, and the child is completely healthy today. Definitely consult your gynac about this.

Yes, it actually happens quite often if the mother is positive. But don't worry, doctors routinely test pregnant women for Hep B now, and they give a protective injection to the baby immediately after birth to prevent the infection.
