Can you be addicted to sleep?

Lately, I've been feeling extremely sleepy all the time, even after getting enough sleep. My friends joke that I'm 'addicted to sleep,' but I'm actually a little concerned. Is it really possible to be addicted to sleep?

Haan yaar, sometimes it really feels like an addiction when you just don't want to get out of bed. But honestly, sleeping too much can actually mean you are exhausted or mentally drained. Body ko rest chahiye toh thoda schedule change karke dekho na.

I used to feel sleepy all day and thought I was just lazy or addicted. I started drinking warm chamomile tea at night and took a short walk in the evening to fix my sleep cycle. Sometimes a simple lack of vitamins like B12 or D3 causes this extreme fatigue, so do get a blood test.

I also feel like sleeping all the time when I am stressed. Checking your thyroid levels might help find the actual reason behind this constant tiredness.

Honestly, I sleep for almost 10-11 hours and still feel so tired during the day. Does anyone else also feel this way, or is it just me? I am actually getting a bit worried if it is some thyroid issue or something worse.

Beta, excess of anything is bad for health. Our ancient texts say that too much sleep makes the body heavy and sluggish. Try waking up early, sitting in the fresh morning sun for 15 minutes, and drinking warm ginger water to boost your energy naturally.

If sleeping was an addiction, my boss would have fired me long ago! Joke apart, at our age, sleeping too much usually means body fatigue or lack of actual deep sleep. Try reducing screen time before bed, else go see a doc if you still feel like a zombie.
