Can you be a surrogate with pcos?

I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years back, but my symptoms are well-managed now. Recently, a friend mentioned surrogacy, and I was wondering if having PCOS would disqualify me.

I have been helping couples on this forum for years now. Generally, for surrogacy, clinics require a healthy uterus and regular ovulation cycles. If your PCOS is well-managed and you ovulate regularly, some clinics might consider it, but a full scan and hormone test by an IVF specialist is a must.

Hey, don't stress too much about it right now! PCOS is so common these days and many girls manage it perfectly. Just go talk to a good IVF doc with your recent reports, they will guide u on exactly what is possible.

I had severe issues during my pregnancy due to my untreated PCOS and hormonal imbalance. Surrogacy involves a lot of hormonal treatments, so you have to be extremely careful. Please don't take any decision without a thorough medical evaluation from a proper specialist.

Surrogacy is a huge medical responsibility, so safety must come first. Since PCOS affects your hormones and cycles, only a fertility doctor can run the right tests to see if you are eligible. Better to get a professional checkup done before planning anything.

Look, don't worry unnecessarily about what you read online. PCOS manifests differently in everyone, so it's not a straight 'yes' or 'no' answer. Take a deep breath, book an appointment with a reproductive endocrinologist, and let them guide you safely.

PCOS can definitely be kept under control with a clean diet and strength training, which helps insulin sensitivity. However, when it comes to surrogacy, medical protocols are very strict. Even if you are super fit, the clinic's doctor will have to do the final medical assessment.

My daughter has PCOS and struggled with her cycles, so I know how complicated it can get. For surrogacy, they check your uterine lining and overall health very carefully. It is best to go with her to a good clinic and get a practical opinion from the doctors there.
