Can yeast infections cause kidney infections?

I've been getting recurring yeast infections, and now I'm worried about other complications. Can a yeast infection spread and lead to a kidney infection?

I am too tired to even look at my screen, but honestly, no, yeast infections don't usually climb up to your kidneys. That's usually bacterial UTIs doing that mischief. Still, if you're feeling kidney pain, stop reading this and go see a doctor!

When I had severe back pain, I went to a reputed hospital and the doctors explained everything clearly. Yeast is a fungus and doesn't typically travel to the kidneys like bacteria do. Please ask your doctor for a proper diagnosis instead of guessing.

Dealing with hormonal issues like PCOS makes me prone to infections, so I always worry about things spreading. From what I know, yeast infections rarely lead to kidney infections, but untreated UTIs can. It is always safer to get a doctor's opinion to be sure.

No, yeast infections do not generally affect the kidneys. Take a deep breath, keep your mind calm, and feed your body fresh, natural food. Please consult a doctor so they can reassure you and guide your healing process.

They are caused by different types of organisms, so a yeast infection won't directly cause a kidney infection. However, don't sit on symptoms if you are in pain. Book a doctor's appointment today and get a urine test done to save yourself time and complications.
