Can yeast infection affect pregnancy test?

I think I have a yeast infection, and I'm also trying to get pregnant. If I take a home pregnancy test now, will the yeast infection affect the accuracy of the result?

No, a yeast infection won't affect the accuracy of a pregnancy test. Pregnancy tests look for the hCG hormone in your urine, which yeast has nothing to do with. Don't waste money buying multiple expensive test kits right now, just one standard test in the morning is enough.

I faced this exact situation during my second pregnancy. A vaginal yeast infection does not change the hCG levels in urine, so your test will be accurate. Use a clean container for urine, and make sure to treat the infection after consulting your gynecologist.

I know how stressful it is to deal with a yeast infection while anxiously waiting for a pregnancy test result. It's an emotional roller coaster. Rest assured, the infection won't alter your test result, but please take care of yourself.

Please don't worry, the infection will not impact your pregnancy test results. Keep your mind calm, stay positive, and take care of your health. Everything will work out beautifully, just consult your doctor for the infection.

Don't believe random online posts saying yeast infections can cause false positives or negatives. The biology doesn't work that way. Take a home test first, and then confirm everything with your doctor to be absolutely sure.

The test result itself won't be affected by yeast. But if you actually are pregnant, having an untreated yeast infection can cause discomfort and complications. It is very important to get a proper checkup and safe treatment from your doctor.
