Can withdrawal cause fever?

Someone close to me is going through a very difficult period of withdrawal from something. They've developed a fever, and we are quite concerned. Can withdrawal symptoms include a fever?

Fever can happen during withdrawal as the body is adjusting. Keep some wet cloth on the forehead to keep the temperature down and drink plenty of ORS water. If the fever stays high for more than a day, please consult a local doctor instead of waiting.

Withdrawal from certain substances can definitely mess with your body's temperature regulation and cause a mild fever. Make sure the person is staying hydrated and resting. Just keep a close watch, because a very high fever can be risky and needs immediate medical supervision.

My uncle went through something similar and my mother suggested giving him barley water to cool the body. But honestly, withdrawal symptoms can get unpredictable very fast. It is always safest to talk to a doctor who can guide you on how to manage this safely.

The body goes through a lot of physical and mental turmoil during this healing phase, and fever is just its way of cleaning out. Stay positive and let the body rest as much as possible. God will give you the strength to get through this, just take care of your health.

My son also had a fever and shivering when he tried to suddenly quit his heavy medication. It was very scary for us to watch. Please do not let them go cold turkey alone, do consult a doctor who can help taper off the dose slowly.

Haan na, withdrawal me fever and body ache common hai, body react karti hai. But you have to be very careful. Thoda thoda karke normal khichdi khilao and urgent ho toh doctor ko dikhao.
