Can whiskey cause kidney stones?

Someone told me that drinking a lot of whiskey can be really bad for your kidneys. I enjoy a couple of drinks with friends sometimes. I'm just wondering if it can actually lead to kidney stones.

Yes, heavy drinking definitely dehydrates you and can lead to kidney stones. Best to cut down on alcohol.

I am not completely sure about whiskey alone, but anything that messes with our body's hydration can trigger stones. Since dealing with PCOS has taught me how delicate our internal balance is, I would say it is safer to ask a proper doc and focus on drinking lots of water.

My father always says that taking too much hard liquor or warm drinks heats up the body and creates stone issues. But honestly, it is best to consult a urologist if you are feeling any pain, as they can guide you based on your reports.

Haan yaar, whiskey body ko dehydate karti hai na, toh pathri hone ka risk kaafi badh jata hai. Pani kam pioge aur booze zyada karoge toh problem toh hogi hi na.

I remember the absolute panic when I got my first stone attack, so I totally feel your anxiety here. The pain is terrifying, and wondering if your drinking habits caused it makes you feel so guilty. Just focus on recovering and please get checked by a specialist.

Dehydration is the main driver for stones, and alcohol like whiskey makes it worse because you lose fluids fast. If you have a busy desk job and drink on weekends, make sure you double your water intake. Best is to get an ultrasound done to be sure.
