Can vomiting help heartburn?

I get heartburn very frequently, especially after eating spicy food. Sometimes I feel so uncomfortable that I almost wish I could just throw up to get relief. Is there any way vomiting could actually help with heartburn?

Direct baat bolu toh bilkul mat karna. Vomiting se heartburn thik nahi hota, balki stomach acid gale tak aakar aur zyada jalan machayega. Kuch thanda dhoodh pee lo aur aaram karo, ulti karne ki koshish mat karo.

In our home, they say drinking warm water with cumin helps soothe the chest burn. But definitely don't try to vomit, as my doctor clearly warned it makes the esophagus lining very raw. Better to get proper advice from a clinic.

I had severe heartburn last year and went to a specialist at Max Hospital. He strictly advised against forcing vomit because the acid reflux can damage your vocal cords. Please ask your doctor clearly for a proper treatment plan instead.

With my PCOS, acidity issues are quite common, but I try to be very careful. Throwing up might feel like a quick fix but it can throw your gut health off balance. It is always safer to ask a gynaec or doctor instead of trying extreme things.

I totally get it, that burning feeling in the chest is so uncomfortable you just want it out. But throwing up actually pushes more acid upwards and intensifies the pain. Try sitting upright and maybe have a little coconut water to cool down.

I completely understand how anxious heartburn can make you feel, sometimes it even feels like a panic attack. But please don't worry, forcing a throw-up won't cure it and might just make you panic more. Take deep breaths and drink some water.

I was actually researching this online because I get bad acidity after spicy food. Apparently, vomiting just clears the stomach contents but the acid still irritates the path on its way up, so it doesn't really cure the underlying heartburn.

Since I have hypo-thyroid, my digestion is always sluggish and causes bad heartburn. Forcing vomit is never a healthy solution and can mess with your electrolytes. I always suggest getting regular blood tests and talking to your doctor about gut health.
