I can only speak from my experience. Whenever I have had food poisoning, my throat would burn and hurt for two days afterward because of the harsh stomach acid. Gargling with warm salt water always helped me soothe the irritation.
I was reading up on this and apparently, stomach acid has a very low pH, so when it passes through your esophagus during vomiting, it causes chemical irritation and soreness. It's totally normal, but warm fluids should help soothe it.
Yes, the acid causes a minor chemical burn in your throat, which is why it hurts. Honestly, don't overthink it, just drink warm water and avoid spicy food for a day. If the pain doesn't go away in 48 hours, see a general physician.
Oh, absolutely! The acid burns so bad that you can't even enjoy your favorite hot chai or parathas the next day. Stick to very light, non-spicy foods like khichdi for a bit until your throat heals up!

Yes, absolutely! I had a bad stomach flu last week and my throat was raw and painful from all the vomiting. The stomach acid literally burns the lining. Try drinking warm honey-water or gargling, it really helps the recovery.
