Can vomiting blood cause death?

My uncle recently vomited blood, and it was a very scary experience for our family. We are all very concerned about his health. Can vomiting blood be life-threatening?

This is a serious red flag and needs immediate emergency medical attention, not home remedies. Please don't wait around or try anything at home. Take the patient to the nearest hospital casualty ward right away.

Please do not worry about the expense right now; vomiting blood is an absolute emergency. Go to a government hospital emergency room immediately if budget is an issue, as they have 24/7 free or low-cost trauma care. Please don't delay.

While looking up medical emergencies, I read that vomiting blood (hematemesis) can indeed be life-threatening depending on the source of the bleed, like an ulcer or varices. Please do not take this lightly and head to an emergency room immediately.

Vomiting blood is a critical symptom that requires urgent medical intervention. Just like I learned to never ignore my internal health, this requires immediate hospital admission and tests like an endoscopy. Please see a doctor right now.
