Can visible light cause damage that leads to skin cancer?

I work in an office with strong fluorescent lighting, and I'm often exposed to a lot of visible light. I heard about UV damage, but can visible light itself cause damage that leads to skin cancer over time?

My daughter has very sensitive skin and we had to research this deeply. While UV rays are the main culprit for skin cancer, visible light, especially blue light, can cause pigmentation and aging. Always make sure you apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen even when indoors.

Actually, visible light doesn't directly cause skin cancer like UV rays do, yaar. It can cause dark spots and aging though. Just use a good physical sunscreen with zinc oxide and you should be totally fine.

Don't fall for the marketing hype of expensive anti-blue light creams you see online. Visible light can cause some hyperpigmentation, but UV radiation is what actually damages DNA and causes skin cancer. Verify this with a real dermatologist.

Aloe vera and sandalwood are great to soothe your skin after being in the sun. However, natural remedies cannot block UV rays or visible light completely. Please wear proper sunscreen and consult a doctor if you see any abnormal skin lesions.

Look, simple sunscreen lagao and don't overcomplicate things. Visible light might cause some spots, but UV rays from the sun are the real threat. Go see a skin specialist if you notice any strange moles changing shape.

I completely understand how stressful it is to read about these things and worry about skin cancer. But honestly, visible light from bulbs or screens is not going to cause cancer. Just focus on basic sun protection to feel more in control.

Don't worry too much! Visible light mostly just causes some mild tanning and aging, not skin cancer. Just wear your favorite sunscreen daily to keep your skin glowing and happy.

I had a lot of sun damage and my dermatologist explained this to me. Visible light primarily triggers melasma and pigmentation, while UV rays are the real danger for cancer. Get a tinted sunscreen as it has iron oxides which block visible light effectively.
