Can viral fever last for 7 days?

I've had a viral fever for about 5 days now, and it's not really improving. My family doctor said it usually lasts a few days. Can viral fever last for 7 days or even longer?

Don't panic, it is quite common for viral strains these days to take a full week to clear up. Just focus on resting and staying hydrated with coconut water or soup. If you feel any breathing difficulty or extreme weakness, then definitely see a doctor immediately.

According to my physician, a typical viral infection can run its course for 5 to 7 days. However, he also mentioned that if the temperature doesn't subside or if you feel extremely weak, it could be a secondary bacterial infection. It is best to consult a doctor if it goes beyond a week.

Yes, viral fever can easily drag on for a week, but you must be careful. Just keep taking paracetamol as advised, drink plenty of warm water, and rest. If the fever is still very high after 5-7 days, please go get a proper blood test done.

Ugh, being sick for a week is the absolute worst because everything tastes like cardboard! Yes, viral can last 7 days, but make sure you are at least sipping on warm chicken soup or dal khichdi. If you can't keep food down at all, please consult a doctor.

Honestly, 7 days is pretty normal for some of the viral strains going around lately. Just don't self-medicate with random antibiotics because they don't work on viruses anyway. If it doesn't drop by day 7, just go see a doctor.

Keep your mind calm and positive, our body has a beautiful way of healing itself. Yes, sometimes these viruses take a full week to leave the system. Take plenty of rest, drink warm liquids, and if you feel very weak, let a doctor check you.

While a viral fever can last 7 days, you need to monitor the pattern. If the fever goes down and comes back with high intensity, or if you have a severe sore throat, it's time for a proper medical evaluation. Stay hydrated and consult a doctor.

Do not rely on online advice if you have been running a fever for a whole week. It could be dengue, malaria, or typhoid which require specific tests and treatments. Please go to a hospital and get a proper diagnosis immediately.

Actually, viral fever can easily go on for 7 days, yaar. It happened to me last month and I was totally wiped out. Just keep drinking ORS and rest, but if you feel dizzy or have severe body ache, go see a doc.
