Can valley fever kill you?

My friend's cousin passed away recently from complications related to Valley Fever, and it has really scared me. I thought it was just a fever, but now I'm wondering. Can Valley Fever actually be a fatal illness?

For mild infections, resting and drinking warm turmeric milk or herbal tea can really support your body to heal. But honestly, if you are feeling very breathless or have a high fever, don't rely on home remedies at all. Valley fever can get very serious if it spreads, so please show a doctor immediately.

Haan na, even I heard it can get quite bad if ignored. Usually, people recover on their own, but if immunity is low, then it can become dangerous. Best is to get it checked by a proper doc instead of stressing, ho na?

Please don't take this lightly. My uncle had a severe fungal infection that started with simple flu symptoms and it took months of heavy hospital treatment to recover. It can absolutely be life-threatening if it spreads from the lungs, so get a specialist to look at it right away.

I know how scary it sounds, but most people fight it off with good rest and steam inhalation for comfort. However, we have to be practical because a fungal infection isn't like a normal cold. If the cough or fever is staying for weeks, please go to a hospital and get a proper scan done.

I was reading about this on my health tracker's library. It's caused by inhaling dust spores and while most cases are mild, it can be fatal if it spreads to other organs, especially in high-risk people. Track your blood oxygen levels if you have a pulse oximeter, and definitely consult a doctor for a proper antifungal prescription.
