Can uti pain come and go?

I've been experiencing a sharp, burning pain while peeing, which comes and goes throughout the day, sometimes better, sometimes worse. I suspect it's a UTI. Is it normal for UTI pain to fluctuate like this, or should it be constant if it's an infection?

Please don't make the mistake I did. I thought my UTI was gone because the pain stopped for two days, so I ignored it, but the infection secretly spread to my kidneys and became a major issue. Go get a proper urine culture done even if the pain seems to go away.

I have dealt with chronic UTIs, and yes, the pain absolutely fluctuates depending on urine acidity and how much water you've had. My tip: don't stop your antibiotic course early just because the pain went away for a day. Complete the full prescription and drink plenty of warm fluids.

Yes, UTI pain can fluctuate, especially when you drink more water and flush the bladder. If your doctor allows, doing some light walking can help circulation and reduce pelvic congestion, but don't do heavy gym workouts until the infection is fully treated.

As someone managing hypertension, I know that ignoring any shifting pain can cause unnecessary stress which shoots up blood pressure. It is best to avoid ignoring these symptoms. Get a routine checkup and a urine test done to find the root cause, and keep your salt and water intake balanced.

Dude, totally. Sometimes I feel fine all morning after chugging water, and then suddenly by evening, the burning sensation is back to ruin my plans. Don't trust the temporary relief, just get a doctor to prescribe the proper meds so you can get over it.

Yes, physical pain in the body can fluctuate depending on our hydration and stress levels. Stay positive, keep your mind calm, and take proper care of your health by consulting a good doctor. Healing takes its own time, so be patient with your body.

I literally spend hours worrying whenever my symptoms change like this. When the pain comes and goes, it makes me think the infection is mutating or something, but actually, it's just how the bladder reacts to fluid levels. Definitely visit a doctor so you don't end up losing sleep overthinking it.
