Can uti cause migraine?

I've been prone to migraines my whole life, but recently they seem to be worse, especially when I have a UTI. Is there any link between a urinary tract infection and getting more severe migraines? Or is it just a coincidence?

Look, directly a UTI won't trigger a migraine attack, but the sheer physical stress, dehydration, and lack of sleep from running to the washroom all night definitely can. Go get some proper antibiotics from a doctor, drink water, and sleep it off. Don't overcomplicate it.

I noticed on my health tracker that my sleep quality drops drastically whenever I have any inflammation or infection. The low HRV and high stress levels from a UTI can easily trigger a migraine headache. Keep tracking your water intake on an app to make sure you're hitting at least 3 liters.

Yes, the stress and dehydration from a UTI can definitely bring on a bad headache or migraine. Make sure you drink lots of water.

I completely understand what you are going through, it is so exhausting. When I had a bad urinary tract infection last year, the constant pain and burning made my anxiety shoot up, which triggered a terrible migraine. It's a horrible cycle, so please be gentle with yourself and rest.

Ugh, I had this exact combo last month and it was literally the worst. The feverish feeling from the UTI triggered my migraine. Honestly, just stay in a dark room, sip warm water or coconut water, and let the doctor's medicines do their work.

Physical discomfort like a bladder infection can really mess with your blood pressure and trigger migraines. If your doctor says it's okay, try going for a very gentle, slow walk in the evening. It really helps release endorphins, lowers head tension, and keeps your circulation going.

Beta, any infection in the body causes stress, and for those of us prone to migraines, stress is the biggest enemy. Make sure you are taking your UTI medicine on time, and keep a cool damp cloth on your forehead for the headache. It will pass once the infection clears.
