Can uti cause leg pain?

Along with the burning sensation, I've also been experiencing some unexplained leg pain, especially in my thighs. I'm wondering if this could be related to the UTI or if it's something completely different. Has anyone else felt leg pain with a UTI?

Yes, a UTI can cause referred pain in your lower back and thighs, which feels like leg pain. If you're experiencing this, skip the online forums and get a proper urine culture done at a lab so a doctor can treat it.

I totally get it, dealing with leg aches on top of a painful UTI is incredibly frustrating and exhausting. The body aches can make even moving around difficult. Please don't ignore it and get a doctor to check it out soon.

Before spending on expensive leg massagers or pain gels, get a simple urine routine test done for around 150-200 rupees. If it is a UTI causing the referred leg pain, a basic course of antibiotics from a clinic will solve both issues affordably.

I was researching this and read that pelvic inflammation from a UTI can affect nearby nerves, leading to referred pain in the thighs or legs. It sounds like a good reason to get a doctor's opinion.

I'm new to this and feeling a bit overwhelmed. I have some burning when peeing and my legs have been hurting too, but I didn't know they were connected. Did your leg pain go away as soon as you started the UTI medicines?

Sometimes a UTI can cause general muscle aches, and low hydration makes leg cramps worse. While you should drink plenty of water and maintain a balanced diet, you must see a doctor to treat the actual infection.

My daughter complained of aching legs and weakness when she had a bad UTI. Once she got the right antibiotics from our pediatrician, both the fever and leg aches stopped. Please take your child to a doctor if they are showing these symptoms.
