Can uti cause kidney pain?

I've been diagnosed with a UTI, and now I'm experiencing a sharp pain in my back, near where my kidneys are. My aunt said that sometimes UTIs can spread to the kidneys. Can a UTI really cause actual kidney pain?

Please be very careful. My UTI spread to my kidneys because I delayed treatment, and I had to be hospitalized with severe pain and high fever. If you feel pain in your upper back or sides, see a doctor immediately.

Hey, don't stress too much! Yes, a UTI can spread to the kidneys and cause back or side pain, but it's very manageable once you start treatment. Just drop by a doctor's clinic and they'll help you get sorted out quickly.

If a UTI is causing kidney pain, it means the infection is serious. You should skip your workouts and focus entirely on resting and hydrating. Only do light walking if your doctor says it's okay, but medical treatment must be your priority.

I had a dull ache in my lower back that turned out to be kidney pain from an untreated UTI. My doctor put me on a course of antibiotics and the pain cleared up. It's best to consult a professional for your symptoms.

I totally get it, kidney pain from a UTI is incredibly scary and painful to deal with. It really drains all your energy. Please don't suffer through it, go to a doctor and get the right medication to feel better.

I was just reading up on this and found out that an untreated bladder infection can travel up the ureters to the kidneys, causing flank pain. It seems like a clear sign to get a medical checkup as soon as possible.
