Can uti cause groin pain?

Lately, I've had some discomfort while urinating, which I suspect is a UTI. But I've also noticed a dull ache in my groin area. Could these two things be connected, or is groin pain something separate from a UTI?

Oh, is that why my groin area feels so heavy and achy? I have a UTI right now and I was getting so worried it was something else. Did anyone else experience this?

Look, if there is an infection in your urinary tract, pain in the groin and lower abdomen is bound to happen. Don't sit and overthink it, just go to a clinic and get it treated.

I was researching this for my cousin, and apparently, the nerves in the pelvic region are all connected. Bladder inflammation from a UTI often radiates to the groin. Seeing a doctor seems like the best step.

Hey, I had this exact issue last year and it was so uncomfortable to walk. My doctor explained it was just referred pain from my bladder. Once I completed my antibiotic course, the pain totally disappeared.

Deep breathing and pelvic relaxation can help soothe the groin area during a UTI, but the root cause is bacterial. Please combine gentle rest with the treatment prescribed by your doctor.

I've dealt with this and the groin pressure can be really annoying. My tip is to avoid tight clothing, drink lots of water, and get your doctor to prescribe the right antibiotic course immediately.
