Can uterine fibroids cause nausea and vomiting?

My doctor confirmed I have uterine fibroids a few months ago. Recently, I've been feeling nauseous quite often and even vomited a couple of times. Can uterine fibroids be responsible for causing nausea and vomiting, or is this probably something else I should check?

My mother used to say ginger water helps with stomach upset, but if you have fibroids, they can sometimes grow very large and press on the digestive tract. It is always best to let your doctor examine you to find the exact reason.

If fibroids are degenerating or pressing on other organs, they can cause these symptoms. I suggest going to a reputed multi-specialty hospital and asking your gynecologist to explain the scan results clearly so you get the right treatment.

Don't rely on online forums to self-diagnose severe symptoms like vomiting. Nausea could be due to gastritits, medication side effects, or fibroid complications. Go verify this with a medical professional instead of guessing.

My sister went through this last year. She kept throwing up and we thought it was food poisoning, but the scan showed a large fibroid pressing on her abdomen. Definitely get a doctor to check it out.

Yes, large fibroids can definitely cause abdominal pressure leading to nausea. I highly recommend getting an ultrasound done to see their size.
