Can urinary tract infection cause nausea and vomiting?

I think I have a UTI because of the burning when I pee, but I've also been feeling really nauseous and even vomited once. My wife said it's unusual for a UTI. Is it possible for a urinary tract infection to cause nausea and vomiting, or should I be looking for other causes?

Haan na, it actually can if the infection has spread up to your kidneys. When the infection gets severe, body starts reacting with fever and nausea. Please doctor ko dikha lo jaldi se, ignore mat karo.

Man, as if the constant burning pee wasn't enough, now you have to deal with vomiting too? Yes, a bad UTI can absolutely cause nausea, usually when it is turning into a kidney issue. Better see a doctor before you lose all your sleep and energy like me.

Yes, a deep-seated infection in the urinary tract can upset the stomach and cause vomiting. While you must consult a doctor for proper antibiotics, sipping a little ginger water or barley water can help soothe the stomach temporarily.

Yes beta, if a UTI starts causing nausea and vomiting, it often means the infection is moving towards the kidneys. This requires proper medical attention. Please visit a doctor soon and try to sip on some clear warm liquids to stay hydrated.

My daughter had the exact same thing last year; she started throwing up and we realized her UTI had worsened. The doctor told us that nausea happens when the body is fighting a severe infection. Please take them to a clinic right away for a urine test.
