Can urinary tract infection cause kidney pain?

I've had a UTI for a few days, and now I'm starting to feel a dull ache in my lower back, near my kidneys. My mother told me it's possible. Can a urinary tract infection cause pain in the kidney area, or is that a sign of something more serious that needs attention?

Yes, if a UTI is not treated on time, the bacteria can travel up into the kidneys. This causes severe back pain and fever. Don't sit at home trying to drink extra water now; you need a proper doctor to prescribe antibiotics.

Listen, kidney pain is a clear sign that the infection has moved up from your bladder. This is not something you treat with home remedies or ignore. Go to a hospital and get a urine culture and ultrasound done today.

Honestly, if your UTI is already hurting your kidneys, your body is screaming for help. I can barely keep my eyes open right now, but even I know you need to stop reading stuff online and run to a doctor before the pain makes it impossible to sleep.

I ignored a basic burning sensation while urinating for a week and ended up in the hospital with a severe kidney infection and high fever. If you are already feeling kidney pain, please go to a clinic immediately, don't delay like I did.

Yes beta, a bladder infection can easily reach the kidneys if left untreated, causing a dull ache in your lower back. Please do not wait around; drink plenty of water to help, but definitely visit a doctor for proper medicine today.
