Can urinary tract infection affect pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester and just found out I have a UTI. My doctor said it needs to be treated, but I'm quite worried. Can a urinary tract infection actually affect my pregnancy or the baby in any serious way?

It definitely can complicate things if left unchecked. Keeping your hydration levels very high is key to flushing out bacteria, but since it is a pregnancy, you should let the gynecologist handle the medical side of it right away.

Yes, an untreated UTI can be risky during pregnancy because it can spread to the kidneys or cause early labor. Drink lots of water, but don't try self-treatment at home; consult your doctor immediately for pregnancy-safe antibiotics.

Oh sweetheart, don't stress too much! UTIs are incredibly common during pregnancy because of all the body changes. Just call your doctor today, they will give you a very safe, mild medicine that will clear it up in no time.

Yes, a UTI can lead to complications like preterm birth or low birth weight if neglected. It is highly recommended to get a urine culture done and consult your obstetrician for the correct course of antibiotics, as some medicines are not safe during pregnancy.

Haan bilkul, pregnancy mein UTI ko halka mat lena na. Isse infection upar kidneys tak ja sakta hai jo baby ke liye bilkul thik nahi hai. Apne doctor ko turant dikhao aur unki di hui dawa hi lena ghar pe apne se kuch mat karna.

My cousin actually had a really bad UTI during her second trimester and was super scared. Actually, her doctor just put her on some safe antibiotics and she was completely fine, so don't worry, just get it checked out ASAP!
