Can urgent care treat asthma attack?

My son, who has asthma, is having a bad attack and we are quite worried. The emergency room always takes so long to attend. Can an urgent care center provide effective treatment for a severe asthma attack in children, or is an ER always necessary for this?

Do not trust random blogs saying some herbal tea can stop an asthma attack. If you are having an actual attack, go to a clinic or ER immediately. They have proper nebulizers and oxygen to treat you scientifically.

Yes, they can treat you with the right medicines to ease your breathing. Keep your mind calm and stay positive, as panic can sometimes worsen the tightness. Do visit a nearby clinic to take good care of yourself.

They can treat mild attacks, but please be cautious. I once went to a small clinic during an attack and they didn't have enough oxygen backup, so they had to transfer me to a hospital anyway. If it is a severe attack, go directly to a major hospital.

Honestly, urgent care is great for this. I had a sudden attack during the winter pollution and they immediately gave me nebulizer therapy. It was so fast and I felt relieved within 20 minutes, so definitely go.

Drinking warm water can help soothe a dry throat, but for a severe asthma attack, please do not wait at home with home remedies. Go straight to a clinic or hospital where they can give you proper medical oxygen and nebulization.
