Can untreated pcos cause cancer?

I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago but haven't been very consistent with managing it. My doctor briefly mentioned potential long-term risks if not managed. Can untreated PCOS cause cancer, like ovarian or uterine?

Hey, I have PCOS too so I totally understand your concern. Untreated PCOS can cause the uterine lining to build up because of irregular periods, which slightly increases the risk of endometrial cancer over many years. But don't stress, just getting regular periods with doctor's help keeps you safe.

Since PCOS is closely linked to insulin resistance, just like my diabetes, managing your blood sugar levels through a low-glycemic diet is very important. Keeping your insulin stable also helps regularize hormones and protects against long-term risks. Always consult a specialist for diet plans.

Yes, there is a small increased risk of endometrial cancer if you go months without a period because the lining of the uterus doesn't shed. The simple solution is to see a gynecologist who can help you regulate your cycles through lifestyle changes or mild medication.

Beti, bilkul mat doro. Yeh bimaari aajkal bahut ladkiyon ko hoti hai. Tum bas acche se khao aur kisi badi gynecologist doctor ko dikha kar dawai shuru kar lo, sab theek ho jayega.

I was reading about this because my sister has PCOS. Actually, if you don't get periods for more than 3-4 months, the endometrium lining can thicken, which is what increases the risk of uterine issues later. It's not an immediate threat, but definitely worth treating.

Hi! Don't worry too much, PCOS is super common and highly manageable! 🌸 Yes, keeping it untreated for years is not ideal, but with regular walks and good food, you can easily stay healthy. Just visit a gynecologist for a proper checkup!

In our days, girls worked hard in the house and ate simple food, so these hormonal problems were less. You should drink warm methi water in the morning and avoid outside food. But do see a lady doctor once to ensure your periods are regular and safe.
