Can untreated hemorrhoids lead to cancer?

I've been dealing with hemorrhoids for a while, and honestly, I've been a bit hesitant to get them checked properly. My neighbor told me that if left untreated, they can become serious. Can untreated hemorrhoids lead to cancer?

Honestly, I've wondered this too! I was doing some reading online the other day, and from what I understand, hemorrhoids themselves don't directly cause cancer. But it's super important to get any symptoms checked out to make sure it's not something more serious. Better safe than sorry, right?

I can totally understand why you'd ask this. I went through a really tough time with hemorrhoids a few years back, and the discomfort and embarrassment were so much that I started imagining the worst. My doctor assured me that they are not cancerous, but seeing a specialist really helped with my anxiety and physical symptoms. Don't suffer in silence.

While untreated hemorrhoids can cause significant discomfort and other complications like anemia from chronic bleeding, they are generally not considered a direct precursor to cancer. However, it's crucial to consult a medical professional for a proper diagnosis, as certain symptoms can sometimes mimic more serious conditions. Only a doctor can accurately assess your situation.

Oh god, this is exactly the kind of thing that keeps me up at night! I always worry about small things turning into big ones. But for hemorrhoids, most reliable sources say they don't become cancer. Still, definitely get it checked out by a good doctor for peace of mind, okay? Don't stress too much before you know for sure.

Dude, nah, I don't think so. My friend had some issues with piles, and his doc told him it's usually not that serious. But yeah, if you have bleeding or pain, always best to just see a doctor instead of googling endlessly like we usually do haha.
