Can u sleep with your eyes open?

My wife often tells me that I sometimes sleep with my eyes slightly open, which I find very strange. Is it actually possible for someone to sleep with their eyes open?

Yes, some people actually do this, it's a medical condition called lagophthalmos. But it's not healthy because it dries out your eyes. If you or someone you know does this regularly, go see an eye specialist.

My doctor told me that sleeping with eyes open prevents the tear film from constantly lubricating the cornea. Over time, this exposure can lead to corneal scratches or infections. It's really important to get a clinical evaluation for this.

I can barely stay awake after a heavy dinner of biryani, so my eyes shut instantly! But jokes apart, if someone's eyes stay open during sleep, it can make them feel very scratchy and dry the next morning. Definitely get it checked.

My roommate used to sleep with his eyes partially open and wake up with extremely dry, red eyes. He started using hydrating eye gel before bed after consulting an eye doctor, and it has really helped solve the irritation.

It can seriously mess with your sleep quality and leave your eyes fatigued. If your fitness tracker shows high sleep restlessness, and you wake up with dry eyes, this might be the reason. A doctor's checkup is highly recommended.

Haan, kuch logo ki aankhein sone ke baad bhi thodi khuli rehti hain, na. Yeh dekhne mein thoda ajeeb lagta hai par isse aankhon mein infection ho sakta hai. Doctor se milkar accha eye drop likhwa lena chahiye.

Yes, it is possible but it can cause severe dryness. Wearing a comfortable, soft eye mask to sleep is a very easy way to keep your eyes protected.
