Can u have sex with kidney stones?

I was recently diagnosed with kidney stones, and my doctor advised me to rest. I was wondering if it's okay to engage in sexual activity while having kidney stones. Will it cause more pain or complications?

Honestly, if you are not in active pain, it is physically possible, but I would be very careful. Kidney stones can cause sudden, sharp spasms or UTI symptoms, so please listen to your body and don't force anything if you feel uncomfortable.

Our bodies deserve rest when they are healing from pain like kidney stones. If you feel up to it and your mind is peaceful, there is no harm, but do not push your body beyond its comfortable limits. Take care of yourself.

Yes, it is generally fine if the stone isn't actively moving or causing you colic pain, just make sure to drink plenty of water after.

I am actually quite new to this and thoda hesitant to ask, but does the physical movement make the stone pass faster, or can it actually cause more pain? My partner was diagnosed recently and we are a bit confused.

I literally just went through this last month. When the stone was silent, sex was completely fine, but once it started moving down the ureter, the pain was too intense to even think about it. If you feel any burning or back pain, just take a break.
