Can u get rid of type 2 diabetes?

My grandmother and mother both have type 2 diabetes, and I'm worried about my own health as I've gained some weight. I heard some people manage to reverse it. Is it really possible to get rid of type 2 diabetes completely through lifestyle changes?

My doctor told me I can 'reverse' it, which basically means no more sweets and lots of exercise. It is hard work and feels like a full-time job. You can get your levels to normal, but if you start eating sweets again, it will come back!

I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes last year. By completely cutting out sugar, junk food, and walking 5 kilometers daily, my HbA1c dropped from 7.8 to 5.6. My doctor took me off medicines, but I still have to maintain my lifestyle.

Drinking methi water in the morning and eating jamun seeds helps control sugar naturally. But remember, if your sugar is very high, you must take the doctor's medicine. You can reverse pre-diabetes, but actual diabetes needs proper care.

Yes, you can reverse it! But the cure involves breaking up with your favorite desserts and marrying the treadmill. In all seriousness, lifestyle changes can put it into remission, so don't lose heart!

You can't technically 'cure' it permanently, but you can achieve clinical remission. This means your blood sugar levels return to normal without any diabetes medication, primarily through significant weight loss and diet changes.

My endocrinologist explained that losing 10-15% of your body weight can often reverse Type 2 diabetes if diagnosed recently. It helps the pancreas function properly again. It is all about diet and managing insulin resistance.
