Can u get drafted if u have asthma?

My friend and I were talking about joining the armed forces, but I've had asthma since I was a kid. It's mostly under control now. I was wondering if having a history of asthma means you can't be drafted or join the military.

Since India doesn't have a military draft, you don't need to worry about being forced to join. However, if you are planning to apply for the armed forces voluntarily, severe asthma or any ongoing medical condition requiring regular inhalers is generally grounds for medical rejection. It's always best to get a formal medical examination.

Don't worry, beta. In India, there is no system of drafting people into the military. If your asthma is severe, just focus on taking your inhalers regularly as prescribed by your doctor and keeping yourself safe from dust and cold weather.

India has a fully voluntary military, so there's no draft here. But if you're looking at defense careers, having active asthma that limits your aerobic capacity—which you can easily monitor via VO2 max on your fitness tracker—will make passing the intense physical fitness tests almost impossible. They have very strict health criteria.

Good news! There is no military draft in India, so you can completely relax! Just take care of your breathing, keep your inhaler handy, and stay happy!

Bro, don't stress too much! We don't have conscription or drafts in India anyway, so you are totally safe. If you're talking about voluntarily joining the army, asthma might be an issue during medicals, but otherwise, you have nothing to worry about!

Fortunately, India has no military draft system. If you are managing asthma, focus your energy on eating clean, anti-inflammatory foods like turmeric and ginger to keep your airways healthy. Staying fit and healthy in daily life is the most important thing.
