Can u donate plasma with diabetes?

I have type 2 diabetes, but it's well-controlled with medication. I want to donate plasma if possible, as there's a drive happening nearby. Is it allowed for people with diabetes to donate plasma?

I can only share my personal experience here. I have type 2 diabetes and when I went to donate, they allowed me because my sugar was well-controlled and I was not on insulin. It's best to check with the donation center directly.

Hey, from what I know, if u are taking insulin, they usually say no. But if u manage it with just tablets and your levels are normal, they might allow u. Best to call the clinic or blood bank before going there.

Yes, you generally can, provided your diabetes is controlled through diet or oral medications and you have no complications. I recently checked this at a local blood bank during my recovery phase. Just make sure to tell them your exact medications.

Yes, you can donate plasma if your blood sugar levels are stable and you are not on insulin. Please consult the medical officer at the donation camp first.

It depends strictly on your current treatment and health status. Donating plasma with uncontrolled diabetes can be risky for you. Please check with your doctor and get a clearance certificate before donating.
