Can type 2 diabetes use insulin?

I have Type 2 diabetes and currently manage it with medicines. Recently, my sugar levels have been fluctuating a lot. My doctor suggested I might need to start insulin, so I'm wondering if Type 2 diabetics commonly use insulin.

Yes, they absolutely can. When oral medications and diet changes aren't enough to manage sugar levels, doctors often prescribe insulin. It's a very standard way to keep your levels stable, so just follow your physician's advice without overthinking.

Don't go by what people write on online forums or social media about managing sugar without insulin. If your doctor has recommended insulin for your Type 2 diabetes, there is a solid clinical reason for it. Always trust your specialist over internet theories.

I was researching this for my father's treatment options. It turns out many people with Type 2 diabetes eventually need insulin to manage their condition because the pancreas produces less of it over time. It is quite common and nothing to be scared of.

I used to get so stressed thinking that starting insulin meant my condition had reached a critical stage. But actually, it's just a tool to help your body cope better. Don't worry too much, just make sure to get your regular tests done so your doctor can adjust the dose safely.

Yes, definitely. My teenage son has to manage his health closely, and we've met many Type 2 patients at the clinic who use insulin successfully. It really helps keep their energy up and sugar in check. Just take it step by step under a good doctor's care.

Yes, insulin is a highly effective treatment option for Type 2 diabetes when first-line medications don't yield the desired results. Every individual's body chemistry is unique, so the decision to start insulin should rest entirely on your doctor's assessment and lab reports.

I delayed starting insulin for a year because I was in denial, and my kidneys suffered because of those high sugar levels. Please don't make the same mistake I did. If your doctor advises insulin, start it immediately and keep your health on track.
