Can type 2 diabetes cause headaches?

I have Type 2 diabetes, and for the past few weeks, I've been getting frequent headaches, sometimes quite severe. My blood sugar has been a bit erratic too. Could these headaches be a symptom or complication of my Type 2 diabetes?

Yes, high or low blood sugar can definitely trigger headaches. A simple solution is to keep a glucometer at home and check your levels whenever your head starts hurting. Drink a glass of water and rest for a bit, it usually helps.

Oh my god, yes! Every time my head aches, I start worrying if my sugar is dropping or shooting up. It is so stressful. Please check your levels immediately so you don't keep worrying like I do. Hope you feel better soon!

Yes, headaches are actually quite common with fluctuating sugars. It happens because of changes in hormone levels and blood flow in the brain. Keep your meals timely, don't skip medicines, and track your sugar patterns.

Hey, don't panic. Headaches are just your body's way of saying something is slightly off, probably your sugar levels. Sit down, check your levels, have a light snack if it's low, and rest. If it doesn't get better, let's see a doctor.

Actually, I was reading that headaches can be a symptom of hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia because the brain is very sensitive to glucose changes. It is quite interesting how our body warns us about these fluctuations.

I used to run to the clinic every time my head throbbed, fearing the worst. My doctor reassured me that it's a very common symptom of minor sugar adjustments. Once my medication was properly balanced, the headaches disappeared entirely.

I used to ignore my evening headaches thinking it was just work stress, but it was actually my sugar crossing 250. Please don't ignore these signs like I did. Go get a proper fasting sugar test done as soon as possible.

Fluctuating sugar levels disturb the body's natural balance, which often leads to headaches. Doing 10 minutes of gentle sheetali pranayama can cool down the system and relieve the pain. Always pair it with regular hydration.
