Can type 2 diabetes be reversed with diet and exercise?

My doctor keeps telling me that lifestyle changes are key for Type 2 diabetes. I'm really trying to stick to a healthier diet and exercise routine. Will a combination of diet and regular exercise actually help reverse Type 2 diabetes for good?

My diabetologist explained that diabetes 'remission' is the correct term rather than permanent 'reversal'. If you lose around 10-15% of your body weight through diet and structured exercise, the fat in your liver and pancreas reduces, restoring normal insulin production. I followed this and kept my HbA1c below 6 for two years now.

I attend the diabetes clinic at Fortis, and they specifically designed a custom diet and workout plan for me. Every individual's insulin resistance level is totally different. You should definitely consult a qualified physician to understand what targets will work for your body.

Having PCOS makes weight loss and insulin management so much harder, but diet and daily walks definitely help control the spikes. Remission can happen, but let's be kind to our bodies and not set unrealistic pressure. Slow progress is still progress.

Don't fall for these online programs promising 100% cure in 30 days. Diabetes is complex. While diet and gym can help, you should verify everything with your endocrinologist and check your blood parameters regularly instead of blindly trusting random internet advice.

Haan bilkul, diet aur exercise se toh kamaal ho sakta hai! Maine khud mithaas thodi kam ki aur roz shaam ko walk pe jana shuru kiya. Sugar control mein aa jata hai, par consistency rakhni padegi, beech mein chhodna nahi hai, na?

Let's cut the fluff: yes, you can put it into remission, but it takes extreme lifestyle discipline. If you aren't ready to cut processed carbs and stick to a daily active routine, it won't happen. Results require consistent effort.

I have been doing cardio and eating salads for a month, but my fasting sugar is still around 130. Does it take longer for others too, or am I doing something wrong? I'm starting to feel quite stressed about this.

Strength training is a game-changer because muscle tissue absorbs glucose even without needing much insulin. Combine lifting weights 3 times a week with a high-protein, calorie-deficit diet. It is highly effective for reducing insulin resistance.

I was diagnosed with high sugar in my late 40s. Back then, I just cut down on heavy sweets, stopped taking tea with sugar, and made it a habit to walk after dinner. My readings have remained normal for years now without heavy medicines. Have faith, it can be managed well.

My father was just told he has type 2 diabetes, and we are quite scared. Can anyone tell me what kind of exercise is best for beginners? Should we avoid heavy exercises initially?
