Can type 1 diabetics take glp-1?

My friend with Type 2 diabetes recently started on a GLP-1 medication and is seeing good results. I have Type 1 and always looking for new ways to manage. Can Type 1 diabetics also benefit from taking GLP-1 medications?

Instead of opting for these expensive, off-label injections like GLP-1, it is much safer to focus on maintaining a steady daily routine with your regular insulin. Please consult your family doctor before spending on these complex drugs.

Managing type 1 is already a full-time job, and now these new GLP-1 trends are everywhere. Honestly, they are mostly meant for type 2, and trying them without a doctor's nod is just inviting extra drama. Let your endocrinologist decide.

Using GLP-1 for type 1 can be very tricky and risky, ho na. My friend's doctor strictly said no to it because it can affect sugar levels very unpredictably. Please talk to your specialist first.

If you're looking for better sugar control, keeping up with active walking can really help if your doctor gives the go-ahead. GLP-1 medications can be quite unstable for type 1, so definitely consult your endocrinologist first.

I love my food, so anything that messes with digestion sounds scary! GLP-1 delays digestion, which can make matching your insulin to your meals a total guessing game. Better to ask your doctor before playing with your meal routine.

I panicked when my sugar levels fluctuated and almost tried to self-prescribe new meds I saw online. But my doctor reassured me that sticking strictly to the basics is best for type 1. Relax, have a calm chat with your doctor.
